Notifications in Triform
Updated over 4 months ago

Notifications are a crucial component of any application, ensuring users stay informed and engaged. In Triform, notifications are designed to be comprehensive, allowing users to manage and customize them according to their preferences. Notifications in Triform can be in-app (toasts or small pop-ups) or sent via email, providing flexibility in how users receive important updates and information. This article will explore the notification system in Triform, including its management, customization, and the available options for users.

In-App and Email Notifications

Triform offers two main types of notifications:

  1. In-App Notifications: These notifications appear as toasts or pop-ups within the application. They provide real-time alerts without the need to check emails.

  2. Email Notifications: These notifications are sent directly to the user’s email address, ensuring they stay updated even when not logged into the app.

Notification Bell Icon

A bell icon is prominently displayed across the entire app interface. This icon serves as the gateway to the notifications management system. By clicking on the bell icon, users are redirected to the Notifications Management tab, where they can view and manage all notifications in one place.

Notifications Management

The notifications management system in Triform is divided into four main sections: All, Read, Unread, and Settings. Each section serves a specific purpose, making it easier for users to organize and manage their notifications.

All Notifications

The All tab contains every email notification sent to the user. This includes both new or unread notifications and old or read notifications. Here, users can manage their notifications in the following ways:

  • Mark as Read: Users can mark notifications as read individually, helping them keep track of which notifications have been acknowledged.

  • Mark All as Read: By clicking the “Mark All Read” button, users can mark all unread notifications as read at once, saving time and effort.

Unread Notifications

The Unread tab filters out all new email notifications that have not yet been read. This section allows users to focus on the most recent or important updates without the clutter of older notifications. Notifications can be marked as read directly from this tab as well.

Read Notifications

The Read tab contains all the old email notifications or those that have already been marked as read. This section helps users keep track of past notifications and provides the option to declutter their notification history:

  • Delete or Clear Emails: Users can delete individual notifications or clear up all emails from the read tab to maintain a clean and organized notifications list.

Notification Settings

The Settings tab provides users with options to customize their notification preferences. Here, users can toggle between receiving email or in-app notifications by turning them on or off. Notifications are further categorized into:

  • Critical Notifications: Essential alerts that require immediate attention.

  • Non-Critical Notifications: General information or updates that are not urgent.

Users can choose to receive only critical notifications or both critical and non-critical notifications, depending on their preference and need.

In this article, we've explored the comprehensive notification management system in Triform, covering everything from in-app alerts and email notifications to detailed customization settings.
